Often times I have encountered, when people wanted to update their home, the first thought was to rip and replace the Cabinet with a new model. This can result in a project that does not need to be messy and costly. Cabinet refacing is one alternative to consider is, but when you decide that you want to update Your closet in the kitchen.
Rather than replace the entire unit or only Cabinet refacing the cabinets with doors are new, you can only update the outside to make it look fresh and new without spending a lot of expenses.
How to Paint Kitchen Cabinet Refacing?
Hi, everyone! I am excited to show you how painting cabinets could really update and change a look of a bathroom or even Kitchen. We have painted several cabinets, in the several homes, we have owned. I have a few pictures that I have to show.
Kitchen Cabinet refacing is it expensive?
Self-stick veneer is easy to work with, since there’s no contact cement to contend with. But its adhesive is still strong, making the veneer hard to remove and adjust once you’ve stuck it in place. So you have to be careful when measuring, cutting, and placing a strip on the cabinet face.
The hardest part of making a refacing job look neat is trimming the veneer with a utility knife once it’s in place. It helps to work slowly, to keep your hand braced against the cabinets to steady it, and to always use a sharp blade.
Once you’ve finished the frame and installed the doors, it will be hard to tell that you haven’t installed a whole new set of cabinets.
What Does Refacing Cost?
A professional cabinet refacing for a typical 10-foot-by-12-foot kitchen starts at around $1,000 to $3,000 for laminate. Expect to pay $2,500 to $6,000 for real wood veneer. Costs can rise to $7,000 to $9,000 or more for a large project with high-quality wood veneer.
